PBS North Carolina Presents An Evening with Ken Burns 

Secure your seat for this exclusive screening and panel discussion featuring acclaimed documentary filmmaker Ken Burns and other esteemed panelists who will discuss North Carolina’s role in the American Revolution. To help support this and similar events from PBS North Carolina, tickets for this event are $70 per person. 

PBS North Carolina proudly presents an evening with award-winning documentarian Ken Burns. Join us at the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts for an exclusive advance screening of carefully curated clips from, THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION, a film by Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein & David Schmidt. Following the screening, Ken Burns and local historians, Kathleen DuVal and Warren Milteer, Jr. will participate in a panel discussion about the film and North Carolina’s role in this tumultuous period.  

With your contribution of $70.00 in support of PBS North Carolina events, you will receive one (1) ticket to this special event. Please note $70.00 is a tax-deductible contribution. Ticketmaster and venue fees are not tax-deductible. Tickets are also available at the box office.

Rekindle your passion for Swan Lake. This season’s production brings Swan Lake back to its roots, inspired by Marius Petipa’s original 1895 version and Tchaikovsky’s resonant score. The story, revolving around the tragic romance of Prince Siegfried and the swan princess Odette, reveals the universal dialogue between light and darkness, love and deception.

This 3-session intensive is tailored for actors and dancers seeking to delve into the essentials of jazz dance for musical theater. Students will master fundamental jazz choreography commonly featured in theater productions, focusing on expressive movement, musicality, and dynamic performance skills. Through structured exercises and choreography, participants will refine their ability to quickly pick up movement, deepen their mind-body connection, and confidently embody various styles.
